Internal Gear

Internal gear is a type of gear used to transmit power and motion in mechanical systems.

The internal gear system consists of an internal gear and an external gear. The internal gear is located on the inner surface of the external gear. Thanks to the harmony of the teeth between the internal gear and external gear, the internal gear receives the rotational movement and transfers it to the external gear. In this way, power and movement transmission is ensured.

Since the teeth of internal gears are located inside, they take up less space and are ideal for use in limited spaces. Additionally, contact on the inner surfaces of the teeth absorbs vibration and creates less noise.

These gears are used in many application areas. For example, transmission systems, reducers, pumps, drivetrains and other mechanical devices. In such applications, internal gears provide effective power transmission and speed changes.

Internal gears are usually made of durable materials such as steel or cast iron. Material selection is made based on application requirements and operating conditions. Their surfaces are hardened or coated, which increases durability and friction resistance.

Regular lubrication, cleaning and correct gear adjustment optimize the performance of the internal gears and ensure long-lasting use. In addition, periodic inspection and maintenance should be carried out to protect the teeth from wear and corrosion.
